Insider: Thinking warm thoughts

OK, so winter has finally arrived in Southern Alberta and the mercury in the thermometer has dropped like Charleston Hughes bringing down an opposing quarterback.

Let’s try to focus on the positives, like the fact the Canadian Football League’s 2012 schedule will be released early next month. Or that events like It’s a Snap and the second annual fan forum aren’t that far away and that not long after that it will be the start of training camp.

In the meantime, we want to know what Stampeders fans are doing to pass the time and keep the spirit of the Red and White alive during these long, cold months between CFL seasons. Do you stay in contact with your seat neighbours at McMahon Stadium and talk about the seasons past and the one that lies ahead? Are you scrubbing that barbecue clean to get ready for another season of tailgating? Shopping for a new jersey to replace your old “gamer”? Playing some snow football with friends?

Enter your response in the comments box below, remembering to include your email address in the appropriate field. Please note the comments will NOT be published but your entry will be received by us.

At the end of the week (on Friday, Jan. 20) we’ll pick one of the entries at random and the winner will receive a Stampeders replica road jersey (size medium) and a Stamps Game Face T-shirt (size XL).
