Tsoumpas named to CFLPA team

Calgary Stampeders offensive lineman Dimitri Tsoumpas has been named to the 2011 Canadian Football League Players’ Association all-star team.Tsoumpas250_111128.jpg He occupies one of the CFLPA team’s two spots at guard.

Tsoumpas, in his fourth season with the Stamps, started the final 16 games of the season.

He has been a key component of an offensive line that paved the way for strong rushing and passing attacks in 2011. The Stamps finished second in the league in rushing yards with 2,244 and average rushing yards per game with 124.7.

He was previously named to the CFL all-star team in a vote of media and fans.

The CFLPA all-star team was voted on by CFL players as well as positional coaches for each club.
