Forzani: I’m excited

I’m super-excited. You know, I’ve never played in a playoff game before and I’m just so excited to be a part of something like that.

We’re a confident group right now. We’ve won three in a row and the offence is clicking pretty well. I’m just all-around really excited to play and we’re ready to roll.

I think the momentum we built up at the end of the season is huge. Our coaches — Dave and Huff — are always saying that the team that wins is the one that has the most momentum coming into the playoffs and who’s clicking at the right time. It doesn’t matter what happened before this.

But you’ve still got to go out there and do it. They beat us twice and we beat them once. The facts are what they are. But it’s going to be a hard game and we’re looking forward to getting in there and getting a win.

I think it is a factor that we were such a good road team this season. We would have liked to played a playoff game in front of our fans, obviously, but we’re comfortable being on the road.

The way we look at it is that we have one game where we might have bad weather and then we hopefully will have the opportunity to play the next two games in a nice dome.

We’ve some games on the road this year, including some close games, and we’re ready to roll.

We haven’t played Edmonton in a while — since the start of September — and I think they’ve improved. And I think we’ve improved.

They’ve got a good offence and a good defence and we respect them as a team and also the players that they have. It’s going to be a dogfight.
