You can strike one possibility off the list of playoff scenarios for the Stampeders.
As a result of Edmonton’s win over Saskatchewan on Friday night, the Stamps’ hopes of finishing first in the West Division and earning a bye into the division final have evaporated.
Calgary will instead play in next Sunday’s West semi-final although the location and opponent remain to be determined. With a win over the Winnipeg on Saturday and a BC loss to Montreal, Calgary would play host to the Lions in the West semi.
Any other scenario would put the Stamps on the road, either at BC or Edmonton, for the first-round playoff match. A Lions win would give BC first place and send the Stamps to Edmonton for the semi-final. Losses by both Calgary and BC on Saturday would leave the Eskimos on top and set up a Stamps-Lions semi-final in Vancouver.
