The Calgary Stampeders are proud to announce the winners of the 2011 Stan Schwartz Heart of a Champion Awards. The awards are open to high school senior football players throughout the city of Calgary.

The 2011 recipients and their schools are:
 
Division I — Robbie Prokop, Western Canada
Division II — Robert Banks, Bishop McNally/Father Lacombe
Division III — Kyle Doubell, Bishop Carroll
 
The Stan Schwartz awards recognize players who have made significant contributions to team, school and community and have shown perseverance. The awards recognize the work of individual athletes who demonstrate:

• contribution to the team off the field
• contribution to the community
• contribution to the school
• personal perseverance
• athletic perseverance

The three recipients will be honoured during halftime of Saturday’s CFL game between the Calgary Stampeders and Winnipeg Blue Bombers at McMahon Stadium. Stan Schwartz, executive vice-president of the Calgary Stampeders Football Club, will present the three recipients with a plaque commemorating their achievements as well as a trophy for their school to display until next season.
