I’ve been asked whether I’m surprised to be playing when I arrived so recently but honestly, I expect a lot more out of myself and that’s the reason why I go out there and I continue to get better.
So as long as I keep working, the sky is the limit.
Coach Jones, the defensive coordinator, he keeps the game plan simple. He doesn’t do too much, so as far as me learning everything, it’s pretty simple.
We had to come into Friday’s game with a bend but don’t break attitude. They got the early score in the game, but we continue to rally behind each other. And at the end of it, we won the game. What was it, 25-13? So we won the game.
I think we learned an important lesson from the week before in the Toronto game. I think last week, we came out flat, we didn’t play the whole system in this last week and I think the week before that we did the same thing.
Friday night, we put together a complete game and we’ve got to continue doing it going forward.
I have to give a lot of credit to DeVone Claybrooks for helping me out since I’ve arrived. He always stays on me, man, making sure I got everything. Him and Charleston Hughes stay on me the most and I appreciate it.
