Bulcke: Confidence is the key

The start of my professional career has been great.

So much in football is about playing with confidence and I think we’ve done a really good job on defence to keep building that confidence.Bulcke_111020.jpg

Joining a new team and settling into a new city, it only takes a week or two to get comfortable. It’s a great city and a great squad of guys. The guys on the defensive line, we hang out  a lot off the field and it’s a great group of guys to hang out with. And with the city, everything has just fallen into place. The weather has been great, too!

Before joining the Stamps, I attended training camp with the 49ers and I was able to take quite a bit out of that experience. The experience itself, the coaching, the exposure . . . I was really fortunate. And I feel so blessed that I’m playing football right now and having a great time.

We have three games left in the regular season and, as I mentioned before, the goal is to be playing with confidence. To be able to roll into the playoffs with that confidence is real important. Each one of these games is kind of like a stepping stone to the playoffs. So a win after a win after a win is what we need right now.

In Saskatchewan, we’re facing a team that is out of the playoffs but we know that doesn’t mean anything. We were in the exact same situation last week in Toronto and we learned a harsh lesson. I think everyone is going to learn from that and come out really fired up.
