The Stampeders’ bid for first place in the West Division continues tonight in Toronto as Calgary faces the Argonauts at Rogers Centre.
Kickoff is at 5:30 p.m. MDT.
Calgary enters Week 16 action in a three-way tie for spot in the West Division with the BC Lions and Edmonton Eskimos. All three clubs have 8-6 records. The Eskimos will play host to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers on Saturday while the Lions are in Regina to play the Roughriders on Sunday.
While team pursuits are paramount at this satge of the season, there’s also a notable individual accomplishment in sight tonight as Calgary quarterback Henry Burris needs 186 passing yards to overtake Doug Flutie and take over the No. 6 position on the CFL’s all-time list.
Toronto is 3-11 and occupies last place in the East Division, but one of the Argos’ victories came against Calgary in the season-opener on July 1 at McMahon Stadium.
