It’s amazing that with four weeks to play in the season, there’s a three-way tie between ourselves, BC and Edmonton for first place in the division.
I think that shows the excitement of the CFL and how good this league has become as well as how much talent and parity there is. I’m excited about it and I’ll bet the other teams are, too.
I feel good about where our team is right now. Our last game against BC was a tough one, but I saw the fight in my teammates. That made me think that we can do this. That we can make it all the way.
We came up short on Saturday but if we’re given another opportunity like that in a game, I think we’ll be able to finish it off.
It’s all there and these last four games are going to determine what type of team we’ll become going into the playoffs. I’m excited about it. This is my fourth year and I’ve been to the playoffs every year. I think this is a good group.
It doesn’t matter to us what Toronto’s situation and it shouldn’t make any difference to our preparation that the Argos have been eliminated from playoff contention. We always have to make sure we stay mentally focused on our jobs and on the task at hand. That’s beating Toronto and making sure we’re taking care of business.
The Argos don’t have anything to lose right now and we can’t afford to have any lackadaisical moments. Like I said, we’ve to focus on ourselves and the job we have to do.
