I got the defensive game ball today, but I don’t really want it for myself because this is the most excitement I’ve received from my teammates.
We knew without a question that we were going to win this game and it’s the most excitement and fun we’ve had playing football and I just want us to keep this same intensity all season.
I noticed the excitement on day one of practice this week. Everybody came out and we made it our decision to come out and have fun while we’re playing this game and not mope and be mad and just be blessed that we’re playing football.
Just play, that’s it, just play ball. High octane, baby, that’s what I’m going to call it right now. High octane. We’ve just got to keep high energy right now.
All those questions about struggling at home and our play over the last month? Just throw it to the side and have fun.
Turnovers are always going to be the key to every game. Getting the ball back. We needed to bring more takeaways and today was the start of a journey. The second fumble just bounced in my lap and I just took advantage of the play. After running into the end-zone, I only had enough gas left to go back to the oxygen tank.
It feels good to get the quarterback on the ground. That’s been the question on us so far, but today we got him down.
