We had more rushing yards than passing yards today. And, you know, it’s funny. Dave Dickenson, our offensive coordinator, is a quarterback— he loves to pass. It’s always nice when you can get the ball moving enough so they want to continue with the run.
I came out of the gate pretty charged up and the whole team was hyped up. The O-line was making their blocks. I got the ball and saw some openings so it worked out. We came out and played the way we should have played.
I hate the word swagger as it has been thrown around so much this year — these teams have swagger, those teams don’t have swagger. We came out with the confidence that we needed to play with, the confidence in knowing who we are and playing like the team that is the Stamps. This is the team we started out as, the team that came out of training camp. We had to play like that and we did.
Today, we gave Saskatchewan Corndog and the Coke (LaMarcus Coker). You know what I’m saying? It’s a nice combination. It’s awesome. He’s much faster than me so it continues that change of pace. He can go in there and destroy people off the edge and it really helps me out.
Him and I were going one for one. It was great. I was coming right back, off the sideline, subbing for him, he was then coming in for me. It worked out perfectly.
