Stamps, QR77 extend partnership to 2017

The Calgary Stampeders are pleased to announce that they have signed a six-year extension with radio partner Corus Entertainment.
 
QR77 Radio will continue to be the voice of the Stampeders through the end of the 2017 season. QR77 has been the home of Stampeder football for 20 seasons.

“We’re thrilled that our strong relationship with Corus continues with this new deal,” said Lyle Bauer, president and COO of the Stampeders. “QR77 is in a class of its own when it comes to broadcasting CFL football. I know our fans would agree with that.”CHQR.jpg
 
Play-by-play man Mark Stephen is currently in his 16th season of calling Stampeders football and Greg Peterson (colour) is in his 15th year. The QR77 on-air team is also made up of pre-game and post-game co-hosts Dave Rowe and Jock Wilson, sideline reporters Rocco Romano, Scott Deibert and Scott Coe as well as features editor Peter Watts.
 
“Our listeners associate QR77 with Stampeder football and we couldn’t be more pleased that this will continue to be the case,” said John Vos, QR77’s program director. “The entire QR77 team is proud of the work that has been done and looks forward to six more years with the Stamps.”
 
All Stampeders games can be heard live on QR77 Radio and www.qr77.com. The next broadcast is Saturday, when the Stampeders play host to the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Kickoff is 2 p.m. and the QR77 pre-game show starts at 12:30 p.m.
