The Calgary Stampeders have acquired non-import defensive end Jadon Wagner from the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in exchange for import defensive back Milt Collins.
The teams also swapped draft picks, with Calgary trading its fifth-round selection in the 2013 CFL Canadian Draft for Hamilton’s fourth-round pick in 2013.
Hamilton selected Wagner in the sixth round (44th overall) of the 2011 CFL Canadian Draft. Wagner, who is from Lethbridge, is in his fourth season at Brigham Young University. In four games so far this season for the Cougars, he has 18 total tackles including nine unassisted tackles.
In 2010, Wagner registered 38 tackles, including seven tackles for loss, and one sack in 12 games. Wagner also played one season of junior football with the Calgary Colts.
