It’s a special day for Stampeders and for the Canadian Football League as Calgary faces Hamilton in Scotiabank Touchdown Atlantic 2011 in Moncton. It’s just the second regular-season game to be played in the Maritimes.
Kickoff is at 11 a.m. MDT (2 p.m. ADT).
Hamilton is officially designated as the home team for today’s contest, which means Calgary is looking for an eighth straight road win. The most recent time the Stamps won eight straight on the road was from Nov. 5, 1994 to Oct. 9, 1995. The franchise record is 13 straight road wins set in 1948 and 1949.
Today’s contest also gives the Stamps (7-4) an opportunity to reclaim sole possession of first place in the West Division as Edmonton (7-5) dropped a decision to Montreal on Friday night. The Ticats (5-6) are looking to get to .500.
