Lewis: We have lots of weapons

I got kind of frustrated early in the game because I didn’t get the chance to make a play.

When you come out motivated, you want to make a play. I was just trying to be patient and wait for it to come, and it did.110827_Lewis250.jpg

I had a good time playing against Dwight Anderson today. I was just wondering why he was celebrating after one of my earlier first downs – and that’s why I celebrated behind him. Like I said, the highlight or goal of his season was to tackle Nik Lewis. He’s probably always wanted to do it. He thought he had me earlier, but he didn’t so . . .

Henry had a great game. He’s running for his life, he’s making plays, he’s using his legs, he’s so dynamic. He gives us so many options and that’s what we need. Now we’re getting the receivers going . . . Johnny and Jabari are stepping up. Me, Romby and Ken-Yon have been consistent. We just got a lot better.

I don’t think much was different in the second half. We just got more basic and got the ball in my hands, Rambo’s hands, Johnny’s hands and to the rest of the receivers. We don’t have to go deep all the time. Just get the ball in our hands on short passes and we can make plays.

We have a lot of weapons. Johnny’s speed, Jabari’s size, my ability, all at one side of the field.

I was motivated today and I took my game to a higher level. I just feel blessed to be able to come out and do it. It’s a great feeling.
