The 2011 Calgary Stampeders golf tournament will be held on Monday, Aug. 29 at the Calgary Elks Lodge and Golf Club.
The annual event, which is organized in conjunction with the Forzani Group Foundation, has raised more than $400,000 for amateur football in southern Alberta through the first six years of its existence.
“The Calgary Stampeders are committed to supporting the community and we’re honoured to continue the legacy of this tournament,” said Lyle Bauer, president and COO of the Stamps. “The Stamps and the Forzani Group Foundation are proud to support amateur football in southern Alberta.”
The tournament offers teams an opportunity to play with current Stampeders players and coaches as well as Red and White alumni.
9 a.m. — Registration/silent auction/brunch
11 a.m. — Media availability with players and coaches
Noon — Shotgun start
7 p.m. — Dinner/reception
