Arthur: Making sure this time

I was happy and relieved to get my first CFL touchdown catch on Friday.

I thought I had my first CFL touchdown catch in the previous game, but that one got called back after video replay. This time, I wanted to make sure. I didn’t want to give them any excuse to throw that little yellow flag to challenge the play.Arthur_110815.jpg

It was a great throw by Hank, who had a really good game. And it was a great way to start the game also by scoring a touchdown on our first drive.

The best thing is that we’re on a bye this week and we have a couple of days of R&R. I’m going back to my hometown of Montreal for a little while and I’m going to be bringing back a football with me. I have a little trophy room at home and now I’ve got my first CFL touchdown football to add to it.

The most important thing is that we were able to win the game and it definitely is much better to be heading into the break with a 5-2 record instead of 4-3.

Winning twice at Saskatchewan in a three-week span is a tall task and I’m very proud of the way everyone on the team answered the call. We know how good a team Saskatchewan really is and we know they’re going to bounce back, so it’s nice to get a couple of wins against them now.

As a team, I feel that we’ve been improving steadily since the start of the season and we have to continue to do that. We have to keep working hard and getting better because we know we have a tough schedule when we get back to playing. I’m looking forward to the team having more success the rest of the season.
