It’s a battle of 3-2 teams Saturday at McMahon Stadium as the Calgary Stampeders take on the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.
Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m.
The Stamps held on to sole possession of second spot in the West Division in Week 5 with a 22-18 victory over the Saskatchewan Roughriders at Regina’s Mosaic Stadium.
Meanwhile, the Ticats defeated the Montreal Alouettes 34-26 to climb into second place in the East. Hamilton and Montreal actually sported the same record after Week 5 but the Tabbies were technically in second place thanks to their head-to-head win over the Larks.
After an 0-2 start, the Ticats have defeated Saskatchewan, BC and Montreal by a combined score of 106-60.
The Stamps, meanwhile, have won three of their past four contests after dropping their season-opener against Toronto.
The Stamps swept the season series from the Ticats in 2010, winning a squeaker (23-22) at Hamilton’s Ivor Wynne Stadium on July 10 and a rout (55-24) at McMahon on Oct. 29.
Before the game, you can stop by Foothills Stadium for the Pre-Game Bash. At today’s Bash, a lucky fan will win the chance to watch the first half of the game from the sidelines. The Stamps are happy to introduce these get-togethers as a regular feature for home games.
