It felt good to be out there at linebacker on Saturday night. All week long at practice, we worked hard and went over what it was we had to do against their offence and we made sure we went out there and did it.
We knew the history against that team. We knew what Durant was capable of doing with his legs and it was important for us to know the game plan and complete our assignments. It was a great game plan and we were able to execute it.
I had a chance to give a shout-out to Juwan Simpson last night on TSN when the camera was on me on the sideline. I said I’d try to do it and I’m sure Simp was laughing when he saw that. We all know how much Simp means to this defence and to this team and we’ll be glad to get him healthy again and back in the lineup.
You have to give credit to our offence. They got some big first downs at the end of the game to seal the deal. Actually, I think we did a good job in all three phases last night — offence, defence and special teams. It’s because of that we were able to get the “W.”
It was another good win on the road for us. Now we have to keep things going and start winning at home. We’ve got Hamilton coming in next week and it’s another chance for us to get things going and start getting those wins at home.
