Carriere added to practice roster

Calgary Stampeders head coach and general manager John Hufnagel is pleased to announce that non-import linebacker Peter Carriere has been added to the practice roster.
 
Carriere played eight games for the Université de Montreal Carabins in 2010 and had 15.5 tackles, including one tackle for loss, and one sack. He also forced three fumbles and blocked a kick. Carriere played in seven games for the Carabins in 2009 and had eight tackles. He registered 22 tackles in eight games for the team in 2008. In Carriere’s first season with the Carabins in 2007, he had 15.5 tackles in seven games, five pass break-ups and two forced fumbles. Carriere attended the University of Cincinnati in 2006.
 
Carriere was a member of the silver medal-winning Team Canada squad at the 2011 world championship, recording five tackles in the gold-medal game against the United States. He attended CEGEP Vieux-Montreal from 2003-05 and was a part of three league-championship squads.
