After dropping an interception last week against BC, I said I’d get it back. I told my wife that I would make up for it and get another interception and I praise the Lord that I was able to go out there and get it done tonight.
I’m just so happy I was able to make some plays, man.
It was my wife’s birthday today and unfortunately, I couldn’t be with her. So the least I could do was put on a show for her and like I said, I’m just so happy that I was given the opportunity to make some plays. I love her so much and she’s the rock in my life.
I think our defence played great tonight. I think Brandon Smith had a great game with that interception and he broke up quite a few other plays.
As for our offence, we know they’ll get things going. We’ve got their backs and we know they’ll have our backs, too. That’s the way it works in football — it’s a team thing.
Just to show what our offence can do, look how they got the ball in the end-zone in the fourth quarter to get us the win. We know we have some good players on that offence and they’ll make lots of plays before the season is through, you can count on that.
To set up that touchdown, Demetrice Morley made a big play. That was a crucial hit he put on to force the fumble. A real head-turner. I was mad because it was my receiver who made the catch in the first place and you never like to see that happen.
I was just going hard to try and make a play and make up for the catch being made and I was happy that the ball came to me and I was able to get the ball down the field to set things up for the offence.
Like I said, it’s all about making plays and I thank the Lord I was able to do that tonight.
