Insider: It’s Canada (Game) Day!

It’s the day local football fans have long been waiting for as the 2011 Calgary Stampeders season gets under way tonight as the Red and White entertains the Toronto Argonauts in a Canada Day clash.CgyTorh2h.jpg

Kickoff at McMahon Stadium is at 7 p.m.

It’s the second consecutive year the Stampeders and Boatmen have faced each other on Canada Day to start the season. One year ago, Calgary downed Toronto 30-16 in the lid-lifter at McMahon Stadium.

Also, AM 770 has the call on radio with Mark Stephen and Greg Peterson. This is a big year for the Stampeders’ radio partners as QR77 celebrates its 20th season of bringing the Red and White to the listening audience.
