It’s the day local football fans have long been waiting for as the 2011 Calgary Stampeders season gets under way tonight as the Red and White entertains the Toronto Argonauts in a Canada Day clash.
Kickoff at McMahon Stadium is at 7 p.m.
It’s the second consecutive year the Stampeders and Boatmen have faced each other on Canada Day to start the season. One year ago, Calgary downed Toronto 30-16 in the lid-lifter at McMahon Stadium.

Also, AM 770 has the call on radio with Mark Stephen and Greg Peterson. This is a big year for the Stampeders’ radio partners as QR77 celebrates its 20th season of bringing the Red and White to the listening audience.
