It was hard work and preparation and practice and getting ready for the scrimmage game tonight. The play came my way and I just made good on the opportunity with those two interceptions.
I felt good at the time, but I knew there was plenty more out there that I left on the field. I was just happy to be around these guys and I’m just ready to put in the hard work that I have to.
I’m happy with the two interceptions but I’m upset by the one that got away, the one that I dropped, more than anything. The two that I made, the plays, they come and go.
I’d rather get the ‘W ‘with no picks. But it’s still just about hard work and practice. I just want to get better.
The weather wasn’t great tonight. I’m a Florida guy. I try to deal with it the best I could. It was wet and cold but you know, it is what it is, Mother Nature, and you’ve just got to be prepared for it at all times.
The biggest thing I’m going to take from tonight is just to work harder. I’m still upset — even though it’s just a scrimmage game, we still lost. But we’ve just got to come out with the ‘W.’ That means nothing without the ‘W,’ anything that happens means nothing without the ‘W.’
So we’ve just got to go back to the drawing board and just go work hard. That’s all.
