Calgary Stampeders head coach and general manager John Hufnagel is pleased to announce that three players selected in the 2011 CFL Canadian Draft have signed contracts as receiver Anthony Parker, defensive lineman Junior Turner and quarterback Brad Sinopoli have all come to terms with the club. As per team policy, terms of the agreements were not disclosed.

“It’s great to officially welcome Anthony, Junior and Brad to the Stampeders,” said Hufnagel. “These three signings were priorities and I’m glad all three have been done in time for training camp.”ParkerI_110508.jpg

He was named the Western Canada representative to the East-West Shrine Game at the Citrus Bowl.

Turner, selected in the second round (ninth overall), is a product of Bishop’s University, where he spent the last four seasons. In 2010, he played nine games and had 19 solo tackles and 17 assisted tackles.

Sinopoli was taken by the Stamps in the fourth round (29th overall). He played four seasons at the University of Ottawa. In 2010, Sinopoli won the Hec Crighton Award as the top player in Canadian university football. He led CIS with 2,756 passing yards and 22 touchdowns.
