The Calgary Stampeders would like to thank their fans throughout southern Alberta for the support they have shown during the inaugural Stamps Southern Alberta Tour.
On Wednesday, four players – Rob Cote, Charleston Hughes, Joffrey Reynolds and Juwan Simpson – visited Chestermere, Bassano, Brooks, Medicine Hat and CFB Suffield. Today, the players will go to Taber,Lethbridge and Okotoks.
“I have been blown away by the tremendous support we have received so far on this tour,” said Reynolds. “It has been a lot of fun meeting Stamps fans all over the southern portion of the province. We invite all fans in Lethbridge and Okotoks to come to our various stops today.”
“Our only challenge so far has been the size and number of mosquitoes,” said Stamps director of marketing and corporate partnership Valerie Pek with a laugh. “Whenever we mention that to people, they say ‘welcome to southern Alberta!’ “
