The Calgary Stampeders have announced plans for their first tour of southern Alberta.
Four players will visit communities throughout the south of the province on May 18 and 19 as Rob Cote, Charleston Hughes, Joffrey Reynolds and Juwan Simpson will meet with Stamps fans at schools, recreation centres, restaurants, retail stores and even a military base.
“We have a lot of fans scattered throughout the province and we want to ensure that our friends in southern Alberta feel connected to our team,” said Lyle Bauer, president and COO of the Stampeders. “We think this tour will be a big hit and it’s something we look forward to continuing each year.”
Stamps fans in each of the locations are welcome to meet the players and get some autographs.
Day 1 of the tour includes stops in Chestermere, Brooks, Bassano, CFB Suffield and Medicine Hat. The players will visit Taber, Lethbridge and Okotoks on the second day.
