REC Anthony Parker, U. of Calgary
The coaches say: “He’s got good size (six-foot-two, 215 pounds), runs very well with the football and has enough speed to stretch the field. He catches the ball well and has good upside,” said Stampeders receivers coach Pete Costanza.
Notes: His father, also named Anthony, played for Stamps in 1990. His uncle Andy Jonassen played for Stamps in 1976-80 . . . The Okotoks product played just five of eight conference games for the U of C Dinos in 2010 because of an upper arm injury. . . Earned a second straight Canada West all-star selection . . . Had a season-high 145 receiving yards and three touchdowns in Calgary’s conference semi-final win over Regina, including a 70-yard bomb on the opening play of the game to earn CIS offensive player of the week honours . . . Finished fourth in Canada West in receiving yards per game (73.4) . . . Finished fifth in the conference in all-purpose yards per game (125.2) . . . DL Junior Turner, Bishop’s
The coaches say: “He has a great build, is strong and has all the physical attributes needed to play at this level. He’s a good student of the game and works hard. He’s very athletic,” said Stampeders defensive line coach Brent Monson.
Notes: A native of Brampton, Ont. . . . Listed at six-foot-three and 230 pounds . . . Turner played nine games for Bishop’s during the 2010 season and recorded 19 solo tackes and 17 assisted tackles . . . He had five tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks . . . He added three pass break-ups and one forced fumble . . . Led Bishop’s with 6.5 tackles for loss in 2009 . . . Made 19 solo tackles for the Gaiters and added 12 assisted tackles . . . Recorded a sack and a forced fumble . . . Returned an interception 39 yards for a touchdown . . . He attended St. Thomas Aquinas high school before attending Bishop’s . . . His brother Steven was drafted by the Toronto Argonauts in 2010.
Trade
Stamps have traded the 14th overall selection to Edmonton in exchange for the rights to non-import defensive lineman Brian Bulcke of Stanford. Bulcke was drafted sixth overall by the Eskimos in the 2010 draft.
Bulcke played 12 games for the Cardinal in 2010, recording 15 solo tackles and eight assisted tackles. He had 4.5 tackles for loss.
His 2009 season was hampered by a thumb injury but in 2008, he played in 12 games and made six starts. He made 18 tackles that season and had four sacks, including a two-sack game against the UCLA Bruins.
The Windsor, Ont., product was a four-year starter on both sides of the ball at St. Anne high school and also played junior football for the Essex Ravens.

DL Akwasi Antwi, Mount Allison
The coaches say: “This kid has all the tools to play in the CFL. He makes plays and runs things down with his speed,” said defensive coordinator Chris Jones.
Notes: Toronto product played eight games for Mount Allison in 2010 and made 33 solo tackles . . . He added 28 assisted tackles . . . Remarkably, a dozen of his tackles were for losses . . . Recorded four sacks and recovered a pair of fumbles . . . Had an 11-tackle game against St. Francis Xavier on Oct. 30 . . . Had four tackles for loss against Saint Mary’s on Oct. 23 . . . Set an Atlantic conference record in 2009 with 75.5 tackles.
(Fourth round, 29th overall)
QB Brad Sinopoli, Ottawa
The coaches say: “Brad has a good delivery and a quick release. Athletically, Brad fits in nicely with other QBs in the CFL. He is the best quarterback prospect in this draft,” said offensive coordinator Dave Dickenson.
Notes: The Peterborough, Ont., native won the Hec Crighton award as the top player in Canadian university football in 2010 . . . He led the country in all major passing categories including touchdowns (22), yards (2,756), yards per game (344.5) and completions (184) . . . He was also his team’s top rusher with 534 yards on only 42 carries (12.7 yards per carry) . . . He guided No. 4 Ottawa (8-1) to first place in the OUA standings . . . Recorded three 400-yard games in 2010 including a 451-yard effort against Toronto in which he completed 32 of 43 passes and threw for four touchdowns.

RB Matt Walter, U. of Calgary
The coaches say: “Walter has quick feet and can make the first guy miss. He has very good speed, good balance and good vision,” said running backs coach Mike Gibson.
Notes: Walter is a graduate of Calgary’s Bishop O’Byrne high school . . . He earned a third straight Canada West all-star nod at running back in 2010 … Finished second in the conference in rushing with 763 yards, ending the season in second place on the Dinos’ all-time lists in both rushing attempts (512) and rushing yards (3,472) . . . Set a new school record with his 30th career touchdown Oct. 31 vs. Alberta, becoming just the 33rd player in CIS history to score 30 touchdowns . . . Posted a season-high 162 rushing yards on 23 carries in Calgary’s conference semi-final victory over Regina . . . In 2009, he won his second straight Canada West rushing title with 1,103 yards on the season, the fourth-best year in school history . . . Named a unanimous Canada West all-star and a first team All-Canadian . . . Had a car

TE Jared Manchulenko, Concordia
The coaches say: “Very athletic big man. He’ll come in and compete at the fullback/tight end position for us and he fills a need that we have with the offence that we run,” said Stampeders Canadian scout Brendan Mahoney.
Notes: Born in Winnipeg . . . Stands six-foot-three and weighs 259 lbs . . . Played university football at Concordia and junior football with Burlington . . . Was named the Burlington Braves Alumni most outstanding player award in 2008 . . . Holds share of record for the most receiving touchdowns in a season by a Burlington Brave with 10 in 2008 . . . In 2007 with Concordia, recorded seven receptions for 113 yards.
