Arguably the most important weekend of a Canadian Football League prospect’s year took place in Toronto from Mar. 4-6.
Coaches and scouts watched closely as the top candidates for the May 8 Canadian Draft went through a series of drills and tests to demonstrate their speed, strength and agility.
University of Calgary receiver Anthony Parker, listed as the third-best prospect by the CFL’s Scouting Bureau in the December rankings, fared extremely well in a number of the tests, including a top finish in the vertical jump with a leap of 43 inches.
