Stampeders players Keon Raymond, Randy Chevrier and Burke Dales along with past Red and White greats Rocco Romano, Sugarfoot Anderson and Herm (Ham Hands) Harrison will be in attendance at the inaugural Stampeders Fan Forum on Monday, Mar. 14 in the Red and White Club at McMahon Stadium.
Doors for this interactive event open at 6:15 p.m. and the program begins at 7 p.m. Admission is free and everyone is welcome.
The Fan Forum provides fans of the Red and White with an off-season update from both football and business operations as well as providing insight on the state of the Canadian Football League as a whole.
Head coach/general manager John Hufnagel and president/COO Lyle Bauer will both speak and there will also be presentations on the club’s business development and game-day activities for 2011, an exciting campaign that will feature many special events including the Canadian Football Hall of Fame induction ceremonies right here in Calgary as well as the Stamps’ participation in the Touchdown Atlantic contest in Moncton.
At the conclusion of the sessions, there will be a question-and-answer period with all presenters, followed by an opportunity to meet with and get autographs from current Stampeders players and alumni.
“We’re very much looking forward to this first edition of the Stampeders Fan Forum,” said Bauer. “This will be a terrific opportunity to share news about our preparations for the 2011 season, but also to hear from fans about any questions they may have about the football club and the organization. I’m very confident that the dialogue will be profitable for both sides and that the event will be a great success.”
The Stamps’ Store will be on site with a selection of great Red and White merchandise. AM770 CHQR will broadcast live from the event and fans will have the opportunity to meet members of the Calgary Stampeder Outriders and Ralph the Dog. There will also be great Stamps giveaways and door prizes to be won and snacks will be served.
