The Stampeders basketball team will be dropping by the Langdon School — Langdon is located East of Calgary in the Rocky View district — on Thursday, Feb. 17 to take part in the Hoops for Heart event.
The Stamps are very proud that the school has previously raised $37,872 for the Heart and Stroke Foundation as a result of this event. The money is raised through sponsorship pledges from students’ family members and friends.
Students who collect enough pledges get to take in the game between the Stampeders basketball team and the teachers. Students then take part in a three-on-three tournament for the remainder of the day.
Congratulations to the school for your wonderful efforts to support such a terrific cause. The football club is honoured to be a part of this terrific event.
