Play of the Year Semifinal 2

It’s the week of the second semifinal for the Play of the Year Showdown and chances are that receiver Nik Lewis will advance to next week’s final.

OK, so that isn’t much of a prediction considering that it’s a pair of Lewis plays going head to head in this week’s matchup. Now, the question that must be resolved by you the fans is which of Lewis’ highlight-reel beauties will make the cut? Or, to put it another way, do you prefer LewisI_110208.jpgLower-the-Boom Lewis or Leaping Lewis?

Lewis, a yards-after-catch master, shows us very different methods to gain extra real estate in the two clips.

In one case, he nimbly hurdles over a Winning Blue Bombers defender. There are even rumours that No. 82 was tracked by Calgary International Airport air-traffic control when he took flight.

In the other highlight, Lewis keeps both feet on the ground and lowers his shoulder to run over a Montreal Alouettes player on the way to the end-zone.

So what’s your choice? To help you decide, have a closer look at these great highlights:

Voting for the second semifinal runs through Feb. 14.

The winner of this week’s match-up will take on the first semifinal qualifier — a 100-yard catch-and-run play by Ken-Yon Rambo — in the grand finale that gets under way on Feb. 15.
