The Calgary Stampeders are pleased to announce that returning season-ticket holders as well as new season-ticket holders who have purchased their tickets by Jan. 15, 2011, will be entered into a lottery for the opportunity to purchase two tickets to the National Hockey League’s Heritage Classic at McMahon Stadium. The Heritage Classic between the Calgary Flames and Montreal Canadiens will be played at McMahon on Feb. 20, 2011.

The tickets for this historic and much-anticipated event are sure to be in high demand when they go on general sale and a limited number of tickets are being made available to Stampeders season-ticket holders by random draw.

“We are very pleased to be able to offer this great incentive to our returning season-ticket holders and to new season-ticket holders making a commitment to this organization before Jan. 15,” said Stampeders president/CEO Lyle Bauer. “With only 1,000 tickets being made available to us, we recognize that we will not be able to accommodate all of our season-ticket holders and as such the lottery would be the fairest method of distribution.”

The Heritage Classic will be just the sixth outdoor NHL regular-season game — and only the second in Canada — in the history of the league.

In addition to the Heritage Classic offer, purchasing Stamps season tickets will also ensure priority on buying the best available seats for the 2011 Grey Cup in Vancouver prior to public sale. Season-ticket holders are guaranteed seats for all 2011 home games at savings of up to 50 per cent compared to individual game-ticket prices and have the option to purchase the same seats for home playoff games. They also receive a discount at the Stamps’ Store and exclusive offers through out the year.

Please note that seats available for purchase for the Heritage Classic will not be the same seats purchased for the 2011 Stampeders season.
