I honestly thought we were going to win it. We came out hot. We were ready to play.
Just a couple of bad calls, and the ball just didn’t go our way. It just didn’t go our way today.
That was a big momentum shift, when they gave it (the ball) back to them on that fumble and the challenge and the replay review. They got that momentum back. We tried everything we could do to bring it back to our side, but we just fell short.
Then there was that fumble by Saskatchewan on the punt return at the end. I had a little trouble with that earlier. That ball was slippery, and the ground didn’t make it any better. It just comes down to the fact they got that win today.
Personally, I can see my performance today as a positive, but I mean because we didn’t win, it’s pretty much for nothing. But I can take that into next year and just get better. That’s all I can see.
We’re hurt right now. We are hurt. I mean honestly, we put in too much work this whole season, we put in work. It just hurts, to know we fell short, short of our goal.
