The Calgary Stampeders and Canadian Football Hall of Fame and Museum are pleased to announce that the 2011 Induction weekend event will be held in Calgary in September.

“The Calgary Stampeder Football Club is thrilled to be hosting the 2011 Canadian Football Hall of Fame induction ceremonies,” said Stampeders president/COO Lyle Bauer. “With the support of the Stampeder Alumni Group, we know that this event will be a resounding success and we’re looking forward to celebrating the members of the 2011 Hall of Fame class as they join a list of honourees that includes 32 members of the Stampeders family. We invite everyone who loves this great league and its proud tradition to join us here in Calgary to take part in this celebration.”
 
“We’re very pleased to be coming back to Calgary and to create a great partnership for next year’s Induction weekend,” said Mark DeNobile, Executive Director of the Canadian Football Hall of Fame and Museum. “Calgary hosted the 2003 event and we are extremely fortunate to work with Lyle Bauer again as he was part of the Induction event in Winnipeg in 2009.”

The selection of the Class of 2011 will be completed in January and announced by the Hall later that month. The exact date of the September Induction weekend will be decided when the 2011 League schedule is completed.
