Stamps host Riders in Western Final

The Calgary Stampeders will host the Saskatchewan Roughriders in the Western Final on Sunday, Nov. 21 at 2:30 p.m. at McMahon Stadium.

Calgary is 3-1 in the Canadian Football League playoffs under head coach/general manager John Hufnagel and the Stamps are hosting the Western Final for the second time in three seasons.

Calgary enters the playoffs having won its final two regular-season games, including a 35-32 victory over the Blue Bombers in Winnipeg on Nov. 5 and a 55-24 defeat of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats at McMahon on Oct. 29 while Saskatchewan is coming off a 41-38 overtime defeat of the BC Lions in Sunday’s Western Semi-Final.

Calgary faced Saskatchewan in last year’s Western Final when the Riders knocked off the Stamps 27-17 in Regina. Calgary was 2-1 in three meetings with Saskatchewan this season knocking off the Roughriders 40-20 on July 24 in Calgary and 34-26 in Regina on Oct. 17. Saskatchewan defeated the Stamps 43-37 in overtime on Sept. 17 at Mosaic Stadium.
