Three members of Stamps family honoured

Three current members of the Stampeders organization are entering the Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame on Nov. 6.

Stampeders president/COO Lyle Bauer, head coach/general manager John Hufnagel and director of medical services Pat Clayton were all part of the 1984 Winnipeg Blue Bombers team that is being inducted into the Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame.

Bauer, an offensive lineman, and Hufnagel, a quarterback, were players on the Bombers team that won the 1984 Grey Cup by thumping the Hamilton Tiger-Cats 47-17, ending a 22-year championship drought for Winnipeg. Clayton was the athletic therapist for that Bombers team.
