Calgary Stampeders head coach and general manager John Hufnagel is pleased to announce that import receiver Roren Thomas has signed practice roster agreements with the club. As per team policy, terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Thomas recently spent a brief stint with the Jacksonville Jaguars. He played one season with Lindenwood University after three seasons at Tennessee-Martin. He amassed 1,165 all-purpose yards in his single season at Lindenwood thanks to 37 receptions for 409 yards, 236 rushing yards and averages of 25.2 yards and 20.2 yards on kickoff returns and punt returns, respectively. He scored a total of eight touchdowns — two receiving, three rushing and three on returns — and had eight others called back by penalty. In three years at Tennessee-Martin, he made 90 catches for 1,481 yards and 14 touchdowns.
Hufnagel also announced that import running back Chad Kackert and import defensive back Rashod Henry have been released.
