Last week, we were able to get a jump on the Alouettes and take a big early lead. This week, it was the opposite story.

They made some nice plays early in the game to take the lead and we just didn’t respond.

Their defence attacked us a lot today, which is very different to the way they played last week. So they made that adjustment and we just didn’t respond. We didn’t make the blocks we were supposed to make or we made the blocks, but not as well we needed to make them.

In the big picture, it was a missed opportunity today because Saskatchewan lost on Saturday and we could have moved further ahead of them. But we have to put what happened today and put it behind us.

We know it’s another big road game against a tough team coming up later this week because we’re going to be playing the Roughriders in Regina, so we can’t afford to worry about this past game for very long.

That’s not an easy place to play and we know we have to prepare and bounce back and put together a better game for that and go back to the way we’ve been playing for most of this season.
