Rambo: This was real big

This was real big. We didn’t play our type of football last week and it was huge to bounce back.

It was big to have Nik back. He’s key to this offence. He keeps their defence honest so they can’t bracket us with double teams. He’s just an all-around player. He blocks well, he’s a playmaker, all of the little things.

Rambo.jpgThat 100-yard play early on was big. I didn’t expect that, we didn’t expect that. Everything just happened the way it was supposed to happen on that one. It had worked well in practice, but it worked even better tonight. The middle was wide open and I just tried to run as fast as I could.

This was a big win. Montreal is an awesome team and this is our first game against them this year so it was nice to get the win.

Our defence is just awesome. They’ve been playing well all year. We just needed to do our job tonight.

The special teams were great tonight, too. It was just an all-around good game. It was a mixture of little things that allowed us to make the difference tonight compared to last week. We got a bit of our mojo back. We were able to score early, which is exactly what we wanted to do and all of the little things feel into place.

Henry is great quarterback. He had a lot of pressure on him this week. He had to deal with all of the media with all of that foolishness and he bounced back tonight. Hank is a competitor, he’s an animal and he came out tonight and just made plays. Hank deserved the game ball. He threw for over 400 yards and led us all night.

Now we just need to rest a bit. We have a long week to prepare for Montreal again. They’ll show some little differences and we have to be prepared for whatever. We’ll change our stuff up a bit and we’ll be ready to go. It’s going to be loud there, but that’s football. That should bring the competitor out of everyone and we’ll be ready. Personally, I like the loud crowds. It brings the ‘A’ game out of you.
