We made a promise to each other to come out and we were all going to play for one and other, stick together, do the job and don’t worry about the outcome. To just play ball, really.
Getting that early 14-0 lead, that helps a lot for the momentum of the game, but that just goes back to what I said, we’re just playing for each other.
We’re trying to make plays for the offence, the offence is trying to make plays for us and tonight was one of those nights where we were just clicking and working together.
It’s not an easy thing to sack Anthony Calvillo because he has such a quick release but I give a lot of love to the DBs because if it wasn’t for their coverage, he would have been able to get the ball out of there fast. But the DBs made him hold it, and we were able to get there.
Tonight was just one step of the stepping stone and we’ve just got to keep rising. We’ve got to play them again next week. Shout out to the D-line and the DBs! Let’s keep balling baby!
