Tonight wasn’t our night, I mean, you have those nights. Every year I’ve been in the game, every team suffers one of these nights. And now, how do we bounce back?
This is something you don’t want to make a habit of, dropping two straight, but it’s how it happens during the season. That’s why it’s a long season, it’s a journey. Of course I wish we could have played a flawless game here tonight, but it didn’t happen, and we’re not going to sit around here and pout in this locker-room. It’s a bunch of winners in here and we’re going to bounce back regardless of what anybody says.
Everybody took their turn making mistakes. I had mistakes. We just took our turns collectively. And did we miss Nik? Of course you can never replace him, but one person can’t make a team, so us as a team collectively, we’re going to get our stuff together and have a good week of practice. We’ve got a tough one coming up against Montreal that we’re going to be ready for.
For us it’s only as tough as we make it. We’re the only team that can beat us, and everybody saw that. We come out and play well and we’re a pretty good team.
Of course we didn’t play well tonight, we couldn’t even do the basics. I missed some easy throws, we were off on some things here and there, especially on offence, and that stuff is going to happen. Now if we’re going to be a championship team, it’s how do you bounce back. We’ve got to get ready. Six days and we’re on the field again playing against Montreal here, which will be a good game.
