Kelvin Anderson, one of the greatest running backs in Calgary history, will be a special guest at McMahon Stadium for an October Stampeders home game.
The former Stamp had been scheduled to take part in Saturday’s special halftime ceremony to honour Joffrey Reynolds, who on Sept. 10 surpassed Anderson to become the Red and White’s all-time leading rusher, been unforeseen circumstances forced a postponement of Anderson’s visit.
“It is unfortunate that Kelvin is unable to attend on Saturday when we honour Joffrey Reynolds,” said Stampeders president/COO Lyle Bauer. “Everyone in our organization was looking forward to him being a part of our celebration, but he had some unforeseen circumstances and that will no longer be possible. We will continue with plans to honour our all-time leading rusher on Saturday and are excited to let fans know that Kelvin will be joining us at a home game in October.”
Further details will be provided once the new date for Anderson’s visit is finalized.
