Rambo: Feeling good

I’ve been back in the lineup for six games and I’m feeling real well. I mean shoot, there was a little soreness after playing two games in four days, which is usual, but other than that, man, I feel good.

The team is doing real well and we’ve just got to keep on going. Me? I’m just trying to play good football, man. I’m trying to help out the team as much as possible and trying to do what my body is capable of doing. I go out every game and give it all I’ve got, any way possible. That’s all I can ask from my body.Inset_100910.jpg

There was never a doubt in my mind I could come back. That’s what I said when I first got it done and in between with the rehab when I was down in the States. None of my plans ever changed. Like I said, I know what my body is capable of and I know what my body can do. I’ve been training and playing football for, shoot, 20 or 21 years now and I should know what I can do.

Friday was a good game all the way around for us. Big ups to Joffrey, man — that’s a great accomplishment. Other than Emmitt Smith, this is the first time I’ve been on the same team as a leading rusher. It’s great being on the team with guys of that nature.

As for the game, we looked pretty good offensively and defensively. You can always look at the bad things and find a way to step up your game some way, somehow. That’s what we always do when we come in and watch film.

We know what Saskatchewan is capable of. This is a whole different team. We’ve been playing BC and Edmonton for the past month and a half, but this a whole new team. They’re in our division, we’ve played them before.

We know what they’re going to do and they know what we’re going to do. It’s going to be a big game Friday night — Friday night lights, NFL Network, it’s going down in Saskatchewan in front of all of them green fans . . . it’s going down.
