For the second time in less than three weeks, the Stampeders are making the trip to Vancouver’s Empire Field to take on the BC Lions. Kickoff at 8:30 p.m. MDT.
Calgary (6-1) is looking for a fifth consecutive victory as the Stamps look to maintain sole possession of first place in the West Division. The Saskatchewan Roughriders (5-2) face the Edmonton Eskimos on Saturday.
The Lions, meanwhile, are treating the post-bye week portion of the CFL schedule as a fresh start. BC (1-6) has lost six games in a row and is tied with Edmonton for last place in the West. The Leos haven’t been very lucky — four of their six losses have been by five points or fewer including a 27-22 setback against the Stamps on Aug. 7.
The Stamps have won seven consecutive regular-season meetings with the Lions over the past two seasons.
