Having played junior football in Victoria, it’s always fun to play a game in Vancouver. It’s still across the pond a little bit, but it always seems that someone I know from Victoria comes out for the game.
I love the West Coast and I always go see the water when I’m there. It makes me feel nostalgic.
I loved my junior football experience. I loved every minute of it and if I could do it all over again, I would have no hesitation in making that decision again. I’d recommend it to anybody who’s trying to move on with his football career.
Playing at Empire Field the last time we were in Vancouver instead of indoors at BC Place makes it feel like a West Coast game. We had the mist going and everything, so it was absolutely the West Coast experience. I like it outdoors better than indoors. It was fun and it’s a cool, intimate stadium and I really enjoyed playing there. I was pretty impressed with how they pulled it together.
With Friday’s game, we know the Lions are better than their record shows, that’s for sure. And they’ve got a couple of guys coming back into the lineup this week so we know they’re a dangerous team and we’ll be ready, as always.
It was an awesome feeling to get those touchdowns in the last game before the bye and we want to continue that. When we get the opportunities, we want to take advantage of them. It’s all about getting seven instead of three or getting at least three instead of zero.
