Stamps make trade with Argos

The Calgary Stampeders have acquired the rights to non-import defensive lineman Corey Mace from the Toronto Argonauts in exchange for non-import linebacker Tristan Black.

Mace was most recently with the National Football League’s Buffalo Bills. The six-foot-three, 287-pound defensive lineman dressed for five regular-season games with Buffalo, but spent nearly three seasons on the practice roster. Mace, a native of Port Moody, B.C., was originally drafted in the second round of the 2007 CFL Draft by Winnipeg. His rights were traded from Winnipeg to Hamilton and then to Toronto while he played in the NFL.

Calgary selected Black in the second round (16th overall) of the 2009 CFL Canadian Draft. He dressed for five games last season and recorded eight tackles and four special-teams tackles.
