Rambo: It feels good to be back

Tonight was wonderful, man. It feels good to be back with the boys and out there on the field having fun.

I heard from everyone today before the game. Friends, family, Mom, Dad, you know. Everybody was supporting me. It was coming from every angle. You really see how many people care about you in a situation like this. It was an amazing feeling._D4K6125_copy_1.jpg

Preparing for the game was basically the same tonight. I was just out there in warm-up, thinking about plays and making plays. I just wanted to get out there and be productive for the team. I was so anxious just to get out there.

It felt good to get that first catch. Then not too long after, Hank threw a great ball and all I had to do was run underneath it. I haven’t been in that end-zone in a while, since the 2008 West final.

Right after I scored, I went right over to Patty (Clayton). He’s the reason why I’m here running today. It’s a blessing. Patty told me it was going to be a hard get-back. He told me all I had to do was stick with the protocol and I stuck with it and I’m OK, so it’s a blessing. I praise Patty so much. Him and Dr. Stewart, I owe them a lot.

Overall though, the offence was going pretty good. We had some good drives, but we just couldn’t finish on some of them. If we’re going to make a long drive, we need to finish them. But otherwise, we moved the ball well. The offence was productive and now we just need to complete the drives.

The fans were real loud tonight. We’ve got good fans, man, and that was two games where they got real loud and helped us out. We want to keep it going for them because they get real loud and get us going.

I’m giving the touchdown ball from tonight to Patty. Like I said before, he deserves it. He’s the one who got me in the end-zone. I am going to keep the game ball though. The guys gave me that, so I’m going to keep it.

Now all we can do is get better and get ready for the next one.
