Insider: Ticket deadline approaching

Just a friendly reminder to current Stampeders season-ticket holders — Monday, Feb. 1 is the deadline for making a deposit on your 2010 season-ticket package.McMahonaerial.jpg

The great news for fans is that starting this year it will be easier and more convenient than ever to manage your ticket account. Through the easy, one-time sign-up into the Archtics ticketing system, fans can print their tickets at home, change their address or transfer their tickets. The new system will be implemented on March 15, so stay tuned for more details.

An added benefit of being a season-ticket holder this season is that fans get priority on purchasing the best available seats for the 2010 Grey Cup game at Edmonton’s Commonwealth Stadium prior to public sale.

Other perks that go with owning season tickets include:

  • Guaranteed seat locations for all 2010 Stampeders home games
  • Savings of up to 50 per cent compared to individual game ticket prices
  • Option to purchase the same seats for home playoff games
  • A 15 per cent discount VIP coupon for the Stamps’ Store
  • A 2010 fridge magnet schedule and horse decal
  • Pre-sale opportunities for select events at McMahon Stadium
  • Exclusive season-ticket holder notices and emails

The 2010 season promises to be another exciting one for the Red and White as the team looks to get back to the Grey Cup game and build on the success of the first two seasons of the John Hufnagel era.Reynolds2_100114.jpg

Every CFL club — including West Division rivals Saskatchewan, Edmonton and BC as well as the Grey Cup-champion Montreal Alouettes — will visit McMahon Stadium in 2010, with the Labour Day Classic against the Eskimos returning as one of the traditional highlights of the home schedule.

Also of note for the upcoming season is Joffrey Reynolds’ pursuit of Kelvin Anderson and the Stampeders’ all-time rushing record. Reynolds needs 757 yards to overtake Anderson and climb into top spot on the Red and White’s career rushing charts.

This is also the year of the golden anniversary of the first game ever played at McMahon Stadium, which replaced Mewata Stadium as the Stamps’ home in 1960.
