For the 20th time in the rivals’ long and acrimonious history, the Stampeders and Eskimos are battling in post-season action. On the line Sunday afternoon at Calgary’s McMahon Stadium is a berth in the West Final and a date with the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Kickoff for the latest playoff edition of the Battle of Alberta is 2:30 p.m. MST.
The Stampeders posted a 10-7-1 record during the regular season and finished second in the West Division. Edmonton was 9-9 and placed third. Calgary won three of the four 2009 regular-season meetings with the Esks, including both contests at McMahon. Calgary shows a 9-10 record in the previous 19 playoff meetings with the Esks.
