Insider: Reynolds makes it two in a row

Joffrey Reynolds has become the third player in Stampeders history to claim back-to-back rushing titles.

In claiming the 2009 crown with 1,504 yards, Reynolds joins Lovell Coleman (1963-64) and Reynolds_091103.jpgJames Sykes (1980-81) as the only members of the Red and White to accomplish the feat.

The most recent case of a CFL rushing champion defending his title came in 2006 when Winnipeg’s Charles Roberts repeated.

Reynolds led the the CFL with nine 100-yard rushing games, including three in Calgary’s final four games.

In 2008, Reynolds became the ninth player in franchise history to win a league rushing title.
