Joffrey Reynolds has become the third player in Stampeders history to claim back-to-back rushing titles.
In claiming the 2009 crown with 1,504 yards, Reynolds joins Lovell Coleman (1963-64) and James Sykes (1980-81) as the only members of the Red and White to accomplish the feat.
The most recent case of a CFL rushing champion defending his title came in 2006 when Winnipeg’s Charles Roberts repeated.
Reynolds led the the CFL with nine 100-yard rushing games, including three in Calgary’s final four games.
In 2008, Reynolds became the ninth player in franchise history to win a league rushing title.
